Trendyol shared its new Sustainability Report, in which it announced the environmental and social sustainability results of 2023. The report was announced at the 29th United Nations Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, between 11-24 November 2024. In the report prepared in accordance with GRI 2021 standards; In addition to steps towards environmental goals such as carbon reduction, sustainable production, packaging and waste management, Trendyol’s social impact projects and sustainable future vision are also included.
In addition, the company announced that it has signed a collaboration with artist Merve Atılgan, with the aim of strengthening the impact of sustainability through art. Atılgan produced five different works of art for the report. These works will meet art lovers at Trendyol Sanat, which was established by Trendyol to create a positive impact on the art ecosystem and open space for artists in the digital world. The income from the sales of the works will be donated to a non-governmental organization. Thanks to this collaboration, it is aimed to convey the sustainability approach to wider audiences through art.

We became the first company in our country to provide sustainability training to its entire ecosystem. We also opened the ‘Together Transformation Academy’ to our ecosystem in all markets where we operate. “We aim to accelerate the transformation effect with all our sustainability and social impact studies, especially our academy,” he said.
The Sustainability Report consists of 9 separate headings under the categories of “World”, “People” and “Governance”. The report also includes the point Trendyol has reached in its commitment to produce long-term solutions that are environmentally friendly and contribute to society. Trendyol 2023 Sustainability Report reveals that the company is progressing in parallel with its goals and has made significant progress in its sustainability journey.
According to the report, the company reduced its environmental impact by reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions in its operations by a total of 16% within the framework of the Sustainable Impact Plan, which is the industry’s first and most comprehensive sustainability road map, created in 2022. By optimizing packaging and waste management across its entire logistics network, it recycled 96.7% of its waste and reduced single-use plastic consumption by 57%. With its sustainable packaging strategy, it achieved its goal of producing 70% of its cargo bags from recycled materials. While Trendyol aims to obtain zero waste certification in all its logistics centers by 2025, when this target is achieved, 100% of retail packaging materials will be provided from certified sources.
The brand aims to become carbon neutral by 2040 by reducing the carbon footprint in its operations and value chain, and to achieve this goal in the entire value chain by 2050.
