With the update, WhatsApp users will now be able to create and share QR codes for their channels. Users will be able to join the channel by showing the QR code instead of copying and pasting the link.
Channel owners will need to open their channel and go to sharing options to access the QR code. Here he will see the option to create a QR code for his channels. Once the QR code is created, it can be shared in different ways such as messages, flyers, business cards, posters and product packaging.
The new feature will make it easier for people to share and promote their channels both digitally and physically. Channel owners will be able to reach more people just by sharing the QR code. The QR code feature for channels is currently being tested in the WhatsApp Android beta version.
