K-Pop idols are loved by so many fans from all over the world, it’s understandable some of them happen to be parents of other idols. While it may seem like a once-off coincidence, there are actually a lot of idols whose parents are fans of their fellow idols, sometimes even members of the same group!
1. TWICE’s Momo
Momo revealed during a Weekly Idol episode, back when TWICE were promoting their title track “Likey”, that her dad was an avid fan of her fellow member, Ji Hyo!
TWICE’s main dancer said her father even waited in a queue at a hi-touch event TWICE held in Japan, to meet Jihyo. In another instance, Momo shared that her dad has actually a room full of Jihyo’s pictures.

2. TWICE’s Mina
Likewise, on the same episode of Weekly Idol Mina‘s dad was also revealed to be a fan of another TWICE member.
Mina shared that her dad liked Dahyun the most, revealing he even liked Dahyun’s social media posts.

3. TREASURE’s Haruto
During the survival show that formed YG Entertainment‘s TREASURE, Haruto revealed his mom was a huge fan of YG’s popular group BIGBANG.
Haruto, then only a contestant, shared that her bias in the group was Taeyang. He also added that they went to lots of BIGBANG concerts together and that there’s even a room full of the group’s merch in their house.

4. GOT7’s BamBam
Another mom-fan is BamBam’s mom, who he revealed to be a huge fan of Rain.
In a more recent (and hilarious) interaction between the idols, BamBam told Rain his mom actually “moved on” from being a fan of his!

5. ITZY’s Lia
When invited to IU’s Palette, IU‘s YouTube show that is loved by many fans, Lia was happy to reveal her dad was a huge fan of the host.
She went on to explain that her dad had even tried to buy IU’s A Flower Bookmark album when it was released as a vinyl. Lia added that her dad enjoys IU’s music a lot and always plays it when he’s driving. Sweet as ever, IU made sure to send a heart her fan’s way!
