Samsung Electronics is a 3D audio technology developed together with Google. Eclipse Audioannounced that it has been integrated into the 2025 TV and soundbar series. This new feature will be available on all Samsung products, from entry-level Crystal UHD TVs to high-end Neo QLED 8K TVs and the 2025 soundbar series. New Eclipsa Audio technology, Dolby Atmos It is positioned as a rival to voice technology.

Dolby Atmos’ one competitor: Eclipsa Audio

Eclipsa Audio enables users to create immersive 3D audio environments by fine-tuning audio elements such as sound position, intensity, and spatial reflections. Eclipsa Audio technology is based on Immersive Audio Model and Formats (IAMF), the 3D spatial audio standard adopted by the Alliance for Open Media (AOM) in October 2023.

Samsung ve Googleis reportedly working with the Telecommunications Technologies Association (TTA) to create certification to ensure consistent audio quality across devices using Eclipsa Audio technology. Samsung aims to popularize this advanced audio technology by making it available on a wide range of TVs and soundbars.

Eclipsa Audio, the new audio format developed jointly by Samsung and Google, is available this year. Will be supported on YouTube. It’s unclear how many movie studios and production houses are backing Eclipsa Audio. IAMF, Amazon, AMD, Arm, AppleIt is supported by various brands, including Google, Huawei, Intel, LG, Meta, Microsoft, Netflix, Nvidia, OPPO, Snap, Tencent, Vivo, WD and Zoom.
