2025 ROG Strix series introduced
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduced the 2025 ROG Strix series. Featuring cutting-edge silicon from NVIDIA®, Intel® and AMD, brilliant Nebula HDR Displays with Mini LED and ACR technology, and incredible thermal solutions, the 2025 series burst onto the scene to redefine what flagship gaming laptops can be.
Intel models of ROG Strix SCAR 16, Strix SCAR 18, Strix G16 and Strix G18 come with new designs featuring the world’s first tool-free upgrades in a gaming laptop.
HIGH GAMING PERFORMANCE
As a flagship brand, ROG delivers the best possible performance in the Strix series. With all models featuring the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, the 2025 series aims to deliver out-of-this-world gaming experiences in the most demanding games. With features such as DLSS 3 and Frame Generation, players can also experience the latest graphics technologies such as ray tracing without compromising performance.
The 2025 Strix family also features the latest processors from both Intel and AMD. Intel-based Strix SCAR 16 (G635), SCAR 18 (G835), Strix G16 (G615), and Strix G18 (G815) offer up to 275HX of power with an Intel® Core Ultra 9 processor, while AMD-equipped Strix G16 (G614) and Strix G18 (G814) latest AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (Strix G16) or It has Ryzen 9 9955HX (Strix G18) processors. Whichever processor gamers choose, top-notch gaming performance and multitasking potential await them. Supported by up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB PCIe® Gen 4 storage in Strix SCAR 16 and 18, these machines are a choice for content creators as well as gamers.
NEW THERMAL SYSTEM
This year, ROG is using a new sandwich heatsink design on its Intel-based Strix machines, placing heatsink fins above and below the new edge-to-edge vapor chamber. This new design saves space and improves cooling efficiency, especially when combined with a full-length rear exhaust outlet, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and plenty of port space on the side, bottom, and keyboard. Taken together, this thermal system allows these laptops to deliver up to 240W of power with less noise than the previous generation. All the while, integrated dust filters keep debris out of the system for extra long life.
Meanwhile, the 2025 AMD-based Strix G16 and G18 are cooled by seven heatpipes and a full-width heatsink with full perimeter ventilation for excellent heat dissipation. Paired with a triple-fan cooling solution, these laptops keep VRAM and GPU cool, boosting performance where gamers need it most.
